This course provides an introduction to Virtual Reality. The focus of the course is on learning the VR foundations.  Students will learn the basic processes required to create an interactive virtual environment. Students will be introduced to tools used by industry professionals. VR students will learn how to design, test and polish their own nteractive virtual environment.

Attend this program

Beginners, aspiring virtual reality designers, people that like to create interactive entertainment with a good technical understanding, must enjoy using virtual realith software and hardware. Artists that like to design and create virtual experiences with a wild imagination. Artists that are intrigued of the behind the scenes work done in the interactive entertainment industries.

Admission Requirements

Age

14+ years of age or older
(If under 19 years of age, parent or guardian consent is required)

Assessment Test

Successfully pass general
assessment test that includes
a computer knowledge assessment,
Internet knowledge assessment,
English reading and writing skills
assessment.

Portfolio

No portfolio requirement, this is a begineers hands-on course open to the general public.

English Proficiency

International students with English as a second language must demonstrate a good oral and written level of English. A telephone, Skype, or in-person interview may be required to verify this.

Program Outline

Introduction to Virtual Reality

Week 1
VR Flat Shapes

This lesson will be an introduction to VR. Students will learn how to draw flat shapes.

Week 2
3D VR Simple Character

In this lesson you will learn how to sculpt your own 3D VR simple character.

Week 3
Perspective and Spatial Studies

In this lesson VANAS VR students will learn about perspective. They will also work on the concept of spatial studies to improve their environments.

Week 4
VR Interior Modeling

This lesson will be an introduction to 3D VR Interior Modeling. VANAS students will create their own Interior model in VR. 

All asssignments have to be succesfully completed to pass the course.
Course codes: VRTY-100,  VRTY-200,  VRTY-300,  VRTY-400.
