Assessment Test
Successfully pass general
assessment test that includes
a computer knowledge assessment,
Internet knowledge assessment,
English reading and writing skills

Portfolio
No portfolio requirement, this is a begineers hands-on course open to the general public.
English Proficiency
International students with English as a second language must demonstrate a good oral and written level of English. A telephone, Skype, or in-person interview may be required to verify this.

Introduction to Esports
Week 1
History of
Esports
This lesson will be an introduction to the history of Esports. The professional and competitive gaming industry has existed for less than 50 years and grown exponentially in the past 10-15 years. The focus is on exploring the timeline of major events, successful titles, and influential people that have helped the industry evolve. Students will learn how to research and create reports on their favorite Esport titles in order to obtain more in-depth industry knowledge.

Introduction to
Streaming
In this lesson you will learn what streaming is and how it works within the entertainment ecosystem of Esports and gaming "influencers". Streaming is a major contributor to the recent growth and development of the Esports industry; opening up new markets for viewers, contributors, and investors alike. The focus of this lesson will be on learning the basic principles, techniques, and best practices involved in creating a great stream. Students will learn best practices on how a gaming stream is created and maintained, in order to create a baseline level of industry knowledge to build from, over the course of pursuing an Esports Diploma.

Professional Esports
Lifestyle
In this lesson you will learn about the structure of Esports organizations and a professional Esport athlete lifestyle during a competitive seasons. We will look at famous examples of Esports organizations and follow the journey of some of Esports most iconic athletes. The focus of this lesson is on learning the foundations of Esports organizational structure including owners, general managers, teams, players, coaches, and team managers. Students will learn how Esports athletes train for major tournament events while maintaining their well-being during busy travel seasons.

Week 4
Status of the
Esports Industry
In this lesson you will learn about the current status of the Esports industry. We will look beyond the business aspect onto elements that equally determine its ongoing success. These include overall public perception, major themes across Esports titles, evolving competitive "metas", and developments across teams and organizations. The focus of the lesson is on understanding the major factors behind the current success of Esports, the major difficulties overcome in reaching its current success, and implications for the future. Students will learn how to evaluate an esports title's success in order to prepare for roles in esports that may entirely depend upon the success of the competitive scene.
Duration: 1 week
Students must obtain a minimum grade of a B- to successfully pass.
Course codes: INESPT-100, INESPT-200, INESPT-300, INESPT-400.
